Privacy Policy

This policy explains how St Neots Town F.C. Ltd (hereinafter "StNeotsFC", "us", "we", "our") use any information collected during any visit by you (hereinafter "your", "visitor", "user").

Automatically server collected information

Our web server automatically logs information when you visit the StNeotsFC website. This information includes, but is not limited to: Your IP, Hostname, Browser and Operating system information, Plug-in information, referrer and the pages you visit. None of the information we automatically collect identifies you personally.

Statistics

StNeotsFC use third-party statistics software (Google Analytics and SiteMeter) to generate statistics from visitors to the website. None of the information collected identifies you personally.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files on your computer set by our web server. These cookies are used to identify repeat and unique visitors. Cookies are also used to keep visitors logged into their accounts.

Forum software

Registration: Your account will at a bare minimum contain a uniquely identifiable name (hereinafter "your user name"), a personal password used for logging into your account (hereinafter "your password") and a personal, valid e-mail address (hereinafter "your e-mail"). Only moderators and administrators will ever see this and we will never give it out to anyone, unless we believe that this is in the clubs interest. We will also never use your email address for spam.

IP address: All posts you make and messages sent are stamped with your IP address. All moderators and administrators can see this, but it is not publicly viewable, but will be used by the club to prevent postings which are not believed to be reasonable.

Personal Messages: A copy of messages is stored in recipients inbox until deleted and (optionally) also in the sender's outbox until deleted. No moderators can ever see these messages. Technically the administrator can view them directly from the database, though has no interest in reading messages stored, however if paranoid do not use this facility. StNeotsFC reserves the right to purge your inbox and sent items folder.

Emails: Copies of emails sent from the forum software are logged, these logs are not available to the general public or moderators.

Exceptions

If a person attempts to hack or flood the server, or repeatedly causes a nuisance after their user account is suspended, we will report full details of their activities to their ISP or place of work, forwarding them ALL relevant log information. We take such attacks extremely seriously, and will take the time to investigate them in minute detail.

If StNeotsFC are required by law to release details, we will do so and we're not going to be stung with legal bills because of your behaviour.. Additionally if we are asked to release details by an organisation that wishes to take legal action against a poster on the forums, StNeotsFC will make a decision based on what they thinks is reasonable. We don't claim to provide you with a platform to say whatever you want without consequences,

Policy changes

StNeotsFC reserves the right to revise and make changes to this policy at any time. The up to date version will be available from http://www.stneotsfc.com/privacy. This policy was last updated on 5th May 2009.
